2024 Regional Arneis
Why you'll love this wine
With only 1,200 hectares planted around the world and 37 of those hectares in Australia, Arneis is a wine you might not have heard of, but we think it's a hidden gem.
The 2024 Arneis is a refreshing, varietally expressive wine that sits somewhere between a fruit-forward Chardonnay and a dry, crisp Pinot Gris. Stunning white floral perfume, poached pear aromas and hints of flinty wet stone surround a nervy, citrus acidity and delicious pithy texture. This is a moreish, award-winning wine that will have you wondering why you've never heard of it before.

Technical
vintage
Spring rain led to healthy vine growth and a mild summer meant that fruit had longer ripening periods on the vine. This has allowed for expressive varietal fruit, with a fine-boned texture and length.
winemaking
The Arneis is a special, very small planting at our vineyard in Pemberton. Fruit was carefully hand-picked and then whole bunch pressed with only the free-run juice going straight to seasoned French oak for fermentation. The wine then spent five months in barrel before going to bottle with minimal fining. This minimal intervention has allowed us to make the wine vegan friendly.

Shanteh Wale, Wine Pilot 2024
Fruit is form Pemberton. White stone fruits meet pomelo and lemon sugar glaze. There is a summer island vibe with coconut water, pineapple juice and hot sand. The subtle French oak fermentation and barrel age has given the wine good bedrock for a lovely oval shape on the palate. It's refreshing, fruity and precise. Dry on the finish. A wine for a diverse array of white wine palates. Drink now. I’d love to serve this with panko crumbed prawns and garlic aioli.
